Well i really like this thread and thanks to all the people who had made there contribution in this thread,this is something which i like to share with all of you..

English is not my mother tongue..in fact i had considerably a good knowledge of English but still i am not able to have the fluency and an American ascent,please some one tell me that where i went wrong or else what could i do to overcome these problems..

Hello,

Practice and repetition are the keys to improving overall fluency and pronunciation. Watch your favorite DVDs in English with the remote in your hand. After a character says something pause the movie and repeat what you just heard. Do this at least once a day. It helps you break bad pronunciation habits that form when you speak English without concentrating on how you sound. Good luck
