Tongue-Twisters ????????

Post by Ms.A.Z »

I was surfing on E.C website and there I found some thing called Tongue-Twisters

Tongue-Twister is defined by E.C as a sequence of words that is difficult to pronounce quickly and correctly.

Like:
Pink lorry, yellow lorry

OR:
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper.
Did Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled pepper?
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper,
Where's the peck of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked?

My question is what's the use of Tongue-Twisters ?

My english language is good if not perfect  but some times i find it hard to pronounce some words and some times my tongue slips soo badly that some thing else comes out of my mouth..can Tongue-Twisters help me to improve my problem

It's for fun, to me, since your tongue would start to get all twisted when you say the words really fast. For example, the first example you gave out pink lorry, yellow lorry. When you say it really fast, you would start to say lorry incorrectly. It would become lolly not lorry. However, in my opinion, in the long run, it helps you to say words correctly even when you say them fast or slow.
