Well... I hope "Nudity" can be something pornographic as well. Or, at least, something erotic and even perverse and vicious.LennyeTran wrote:No, I am not. Nudity is an art. There's nothing pornographic about it at all. Look at the Medieval times/Renaissance arts. It involved a lot of nudity, and it was considered as an art. Human body is a beautiful art, with or without clothes. Therefore, why is it beautiful if a girl is nude, but it's not the same for a guy?
Does society have double standards about male/female nudity?

Reading this forum, I can see that the women generally see nudity as an art. The men see it as sex.
For this reason, women accept both female and male nudity. And for this same reason, men just can't accept male nudity. They can't look at a naked guy and disassociate the image from the notion of sex. If they even remotely indicate some acceptance, it's like they are opening themselves to the possibility that they are homosexual. Imagine what their beer-buddies would say!
A guy just cannot like another guy's body. And no guy has ever appreciated Arnold Schwartzeneger's muscles with some small amount of envy!
Look at the guy on this forum with the picture of a man with muscles... isn't he appreciating that man's body?

Thanks, LennyeTran
No insult was intended towards Danyet. I just wanted to question the guys' concepts about what they say and what they show us.
They have that picture because it shows strength and power, an invincible force. Thus, we can look at photos of men and be 'macho' because we're admiring their strength rather than their body. Arty photos are about beauty and it just isn't acceptable for a man to look at another man for his beauty. That's homosexual, isn't it(?).
Arnie is a man's man... Leonardo Di'Caprio just isn't!

I think there is no doubt about it that the society will have two standars forever!TP wrote:As far as female nudity is concerned, society has double standards.
What do you think?
Not just as far as female nudity is concerned

a naked body is nice, regardless it is a man's or a woman's.
It all depends on the eyes that watch
