Hey guys,

as the title of my chapter, which of these options is correct?

A History of Detective Fiction
X
The History of Detective Fiction
X
or even without some article - just History of Detective Fiction

the same goes for the word "theory"

A Theory of Detective Fiction or THE or nothing ?

As a title, I would say all three would be acceptable, but 'A History....' sounds best to my ear.
