Is there anyone who have opportunitues or at least want to take part in Martial Arts courses such as Karate or Judo or Taekwondo or Aikido etc?
Someone said that Martial Arts're violent because people learn to come to blows. But I don't think so. Martial Art is also a kind of exercises. You're not only stronger but also keep fit.
How's your opinion? Do you think it's a waste of time or one of the ways to be healthy?
And if you have chance, do you want to try a martial arts course?

People who say that Martial Arts is violent do not know Martial Arts!
I study Aikido and Hapkido. I have studied Karate, taekwondo, Arnis Kombatan and Bujinkan Ninjutsu.
Here is the Warrior's Creed written by a 10th Degree Bujinkan.
Wherever I go,
everyone is a little bit safer because I am there.
Wherever I am,
anyone in need has a friend.
Whenever I return home,
everyone is happy I am there.

I would like, I would like to do everything.. but I'm little too fatty and weak now, for such hard exercises. Last week I had to move some furniture in my room and my hands was hurt like hell afterwards.. This is the result of noble computer freak's life in town. I have no musculature at all, have only gain some too much fat to tummy. But it's fine, since after all, what for I have Danyet to defend me then?

I better do some yoga then.. It's too trouble some to move my body so much. Hey could someone pleas hold my arms up.. it's too tiresome to do all my self.. just kidding actually I'm sure I look better than Danyet. But still.. the problem is staying up, and start it.. and even more than that, it's warming up. If u have already warm your body up, it's no problem to do some exercises.. And when you don't warmth up correctly, u may harm yourself...
Well when I was little I was able to do some of these yoga things lotos or how it's called.. siting on floor both legs crossed, and then can lift you butt off from floor by arms and dangle. It was kinda cool to do so. But now I even can't get near to it! I even can't get both knees to touch the floor.

Hapkido is similar to Aikido in that it was started by a man who studied with the creator of Aikido and then brought it to Korea. It is more brutal than Aikido. It is designed to break and dislocate joints quickly. It is ugly and nasty, designed to win the fight quickly in any way possible. In true Hapkido there can be no sport contests like Taekwondo because the loser would be dead or maimed for life. Just be sure you study a Hapkido style that offers NO competitions. "COMBAT HAPKIDO"
Aikido follows the way of the Samurai and has traditions that must be followed. Aikido can be gentle and deflect an attack without hurting the attacker, if I want. In Hapkido few options are given to be gentle.
Here are some video clips of Hapkido.

I also have a friend who have studied Taekwondo since 14 years old and attended many competitions, also got gold medals.blacklotus wrote:I studied martial art during 6 years and I got a gold medal when i was in highschool :D
When you're trained, were you forced to follow a hard training programm or strict eating habit? Because I see someone who're trained to compete also follow something like that, even you were in highschool or professional athletes.

I wish Danyet were here.
Oh that's so sweet dear Danyet.
I wish dear Danyet were here standing by me to protect and guard this poor old uncle.
I love hapkido men.

Re: A man you need called Xkalibur
I used to go to kan karate-do, so call me if you have a problem with another old uncle like you. But don't call me if that uncle looks like Danyet's avatar! ...just turn around and go home.bambang wrote:Oh that's so sweet dear Danyet.

Dear Xkalibur,
One Danyet is enough for this old uncle.
This old man is sure that dear Danyet won't ever turn around and go home.
Once step forward, will never come back before winning the war.
