Please help me to understand this sentence:
In 1976, New Limited bought the Post, which proudly bore the stamp of founder Alexander Hamilton on its front page.

in this context "bore the stamp" = "displayed the image".

The word, “which”, refers back to “The Post”. As in, “The Post bore the stamp”.
