overcoming

Post by PinkLady »

Is this paragraph correct?

"Her life story is so touching. It is an account of hope, resilience and overcoming."

Does the noun 'overcoming' make sense in this context?

(By this, I mean the capacity to deal and overcome very difficult situations.)

Without an explicit object, gerund 'overcoming' here is not idiomatic.
