Imagine a bank that has gone bankrupt.


In that context, is the following sentence correct?


"The people sustaining damage are complaining and demonstrating themselves."


Does it make sense to say 'demonstrating themselves'?


And can the idea expressed as '(the people) sustaining the damage' be expressed in one order or in less words?

I presume that you mean: The people who have sustained damage are complaining and remonstrating.
