American English Word Stress Question

Post by zoltankr »

Hi, the question: "What do you suggest?" phonetically looks like: wʌt dʊ yʊ səgˈdʒɛst? The t and d are in the same position, so I think we can drop the t: wʌdʊyʊ səgˈdʒɛst? am I right? The last content word in the question is "suggest". If I understand correctly generally we stress the last content word the most. Do we also have secondary stress in this question? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you.
