Hi friends...
I need help on writing a formal sentence for a journal paper. the very simple sentence is this:
"Algorithm A reached the optimal solution in 5 cases, algorithm B reached the optimal solution in 4 cases and both of the algorithms reached the optimal solution in 2 cases."
How can I write this sentence in a better way, to be shorter and more beautiful?
Thanks alot...

Re: need to write a sentence formally
Not much wrong as it is. I would just use semi-colons and remove "of the":
Algorithm A reached the optimal solution in 5 cases; algorithm B reached the optimal solution in 4 cases; and both algorithms reached the optimal solution in 2 cases.
Algorithm A reached the optimal solution in 5 cases; algorithm B reached the optimal solution in 4 cases; and both algorithms reached the optimal solution in 2 cases.
