[Off-topic] Men by nature are less sensitive than women. And, when they encounter situations like: cheating, ending relationship, etc., the possibility that our beautiful half of humankind :-) will cry is higher. Therefore, I said so above.
In situations like "death of smb." , men usually cry without tears, in the soul level if possible to say so.

Is it so? Or is it maybe because society taught us a man should not cry in public?

[Off-topic] A society in general also has an influence. There's a study carried out by Spanish psychologists which showed that men are less sensitive than women in experiencing different emotions such are: guilt, compassion, etc. The survey interviewed 300 people of both sexes aged 15-50 years. According to psychologists, the reason for that social stereotypes of men and women is in an education. As a result, girls grow up with a penchant for disturbing and even aggressive feelings of guilt, and the boys - on the contrary, resistant to this feeling.

[on-topic]: i cried once because i heard that a guy (i went to school with him, but lost contact after graduation) died because of cancer. although i haven't spoken to him for years, i started crying.

[off-topic]: i now a lot of guys and a lot of them cry, when they're disturbed by something. so i hope, it is only a matter of time when we all realize, that the distinction between men and women is totally out-of-date, when it comes to feelings, expected behavior and so on :)

Dear Xkalibur,
I agree with your this point of veiw that men are less sensitive as compare to females, however that doesnt indicate that men dont have human feelings. What if a son dies so the father doesnt cry? or if a sister dies so the brother doesnt cry?

Dear Dixie,
It is not the fact, Men also cry in public specially as the topic is mentioned crying over death of someone. Some men are more sensitive than women.
