Grammar is very important?

Post by jackyip »

What do you think?

Cause i hate learning grammar,it's complicated and hard to understand.Indeed i love to read story book
,i think it is the best way to learn written english rather than doing some grammar excerise.
I can do well in spoken english but always fail in
composition.

The best way to learn grammar is... not to learn it!!! Ah, popycock, I hear you say!

Try not to learn it, just copy it. Use it as a model to express what you want. After a while, you assimilate it into your knowledge without really studying it.

Think about it like this... learn to say it and not 'how to say it'. Then, you just have to study a little bit of grammar to fill in the gaps.

This seems strange to most people, but in general it works very well.

Grammar is necessary. It creates the basis of consistent communication.
