Hello all,
I'm writing a song and there is one phrase that I need to modify for rhyming purposes. Not being a native English speaker, I wonder if it stands for correct English. Here is the phrase:
.."And never will I
say good bye"...
Thanks a million for your feedback, I'll soon need to record the singing of the song!

That's pretty hard to do 'cause you didn't write the prhase before; anyway, I suggestion you "I say bye no more" or s/t like this.
I hope it helped, at least a bit

Re: Wondering about an phrase
As much as we would like to help you. I really don't know if the phrase you want to be rhyme is "a question or a statement " and if we are going to rephrase your phrase I'm afraid if it will not rhyme anymore with the whole content of the song.
If it is okay with you could you please let us read your whole composition?
But for me song doesn't have to follow the positioning of the usual form of a sentence ,so i think that phrase would be fine .

Re: Wondering about an phrase
Thanks you guys for confirming.
To clarify my phrase, it's not a question but a statement, so it comes in the place of:
"And I will never
say good bye".
But exactly for rhyming with "good bye", I thought of putting it as:
"And never will I
say good bye".
Hopefully it really stands well for correct English, as it seems you already confirmed.
Thanks a lot!

In fact here's my additional posting:Frusti wrote:That's pretty hard to do 'cause you didn't write the prhase before; anyway, I suggestion you "I say bye no more" or s/t like this.

It is a collage of images. It's about two persons to stay in Love. The one says that phrase to the other one.
So "will I" rhymes with "good bye".
