ESL Letter practice

Post by AmmarAk »

During your last school holiday, you did four weeks of paid work experience.
Write an email to your friend about your work experience.
In your email, you should:
• tell your friend about where you worked
• to explain how your work experience helped you to improve your English
• say what you enjoyed about the job you did.

My Letter
Dear Salman,
Throughout my life, I’ve been a couch potato in my school holidays which didn’t earn me anything. So, this time my father got me employed and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
The newly opened café near my house employed me, which has started with a high note and is becoming mainstream. You can find people from different communities and interact with them is a bit quirky for me.
Socializing is not my cup of tea and being an introvert, talking to people causes butterflies in my stomach but to your surprise, I’ve changed. My confidence level is ever soaring high and I can understand various accents coupled with fluency in English. But that’s not all to it!
I cultivated the socializing part of me which was dead ever since my childhood. Chatting with my colleagues and peers who usually show up at the café refreshes me. Just push yourself a little and see what fate has got for you, doesn’t it?
Yours faithfully,
Abdullah.

Please anybody could read and give remarks for my letter writing.

Thanks.
I have an exam on Tuesday.
