Sir,

Ram is taller than all the boys in the class.

I have to correct it.

1.Ram is taller than all the other boys in the class.
2.Ram is taller than any other boys in the class.

Whic one is correct?

Sir,

1.Ram is taller than all the other boys in the class.

Sir,We use comparative degree for only two things or two persons.

"all the other boys" means many boys except Ram.

How can we use comaparative degree if comaparison is being done with many thigns or people ;for example; if in a class there are 40 boys including Ram.

If Ram is taller than remaining 39 boys, then we can use supelative degree.

If I am clear what I want to say,Please help me to rectify my doubts.

He is taller than all the other boys = He is the TALLEST boy/ the tallest of all the boys.
