Hello,
I'm doing some exercises on the present continuous and the present simple. In this exercise they ask you to choose the correct one to complete the sentence. I choose the right one but I'd like to understand and know why it's the right one and I don't. Does anybody know?
1. Pete was ill, but he is getting over his illness soon/now.
So you have to choose between "soon" or "now." The correct answer is now. Does anybody know why it's "now"?
Greatly appreciative of all feedback and input.

Re: Present continuous
'Soon' would require a future tense!!
