Is the use of the stative verb 'hear' in the continuous form correct in the following example, and if so - what is the rule that allows it?
'Has John heard the news?'
'He's just been called to the headteacher's office and he's probably hearing it as we speak.'

Re: Stative Verb in the Continuous Form
Although most commonly stative, 'hear' (like 'see') can also exist as a dynamic verb.
