A merge of various sports events of students and youngsters, the first National Student (Youth) Games of China was opened on Nov. 5, in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and also the permanent host city of China-ASEAN Expo.
The opening ceremony was held at the Guangxi Sports Center Stadium, where the heads of the sponsors, i.e., Ministry of Education, National Sports General Administration, Communist Youth League Central Committee , and the chief of the organizer, People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region enjoyed the gala show along with more than 30,000 audience and sports people.
