correct sentence

Need your help for the below sentence.

john and I are going OR I and john are going ,which is the correct sentence?

Please don't be lazy. John is a name and needs a capital.
Please number your sentences so it's easier to talk about them.

1. John and I are going.
2. I and John are going.

Both are grammatically correct but 1 is more polite (ie not putting yourself first).

But I always hear people saying, Me and John, not I and John. Which one is better?

Politeness

Politeness in general (and not just in language) involves putting other people first. So usually John and me is more polite than me and John.

Grammar

Mary loves John and me. (John and me = object)
John and I love Mary. (John and I = subject)

This is always difficult even for some native speakers when there are two subjects/objects like this. The trick is to remove the other subject/object and ask yourself:

Would I say?...
Mary loves me.
Me love Mary.
