Use of don't and nobody

Post by jaykbvt »

Hi,

Can anyone explain the difference of the meaning of these statements?

==================

"I don't want anybody to know this."

"I want nobody to know this."

"I don't want nobody to know this."

1 and 2 mean the same thing.

3 is a double negative and logically means you want people to know this. 3 is not recommended.
