What is like? (vs.) What does look like?

Is there any difference between (What is it like?) & (What does it look like) when used to describe other than people.

For example: ((What is Canada like? (vs.) What does Canada look like?)) Are those two sentences the same? (= Do they have the same answer?)

Yes, a big difference. "What is it like?" asks about something's characteristics in general. "What does it look like?" asks about something's visual characteristics only.

So your two Canada questions do not have the same answer (although there could be some similarities because the general characteristics can include visual characteristics).
