Is it correct?
Alice, next appeared to has been a news photographer, not an amateur one.

There are several problems with your sentence and it is difficult to understand your exact meaning.

However, we can say with certainty that "to has been" is not possible, and should probably be "to have been".

After that, I have these doubts:
Why a comma after Alive?
What is the exact meaning of next?
Why appeared and not appears?

Comma after Alice as I want the reader does a slight pause.
E.g. : Alice first had introduced herself an amateur photographer. But, next it's revealed she is not.
She appeared the one who has been a news photographer basically.

I’m still confused 😐 but perhaps it could be:

Next, Alice appeared to have been a news photographer, not an amateur one.
