Hi all,
Does anyone know the correct way of putting foreign phrases into writing where the translation may not be known to the reader?
For example, are these all valid:
Harry remembered to embrace his joie de vivre (enjoyment of life).
Harry remembered to embrace his "joie de vivre" i.e. enjoyment of life.
Harry remembered to embrace his joie de vivre - enjoyment of life.
Or any combination of the above.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Foreign Phrases
I venture to suggest one or the other but not both:
Harry remembered to embrace his joie de vivre.
Harry remembered to embrace his carefree enjoyment of living.
Harry remembered to embrace his joie de vivre.
Harry remembered to embrace his carefree enjoyment of living.
