Dear teachers,
I found the following sentence in a periodical:
"One whistle-blower's family faced having to sell their home to cover legal fees."
As a transitive verb, "face" requires an object noun complement. (Please correct me if I am wrong). What category is the phrase "having to ...fees"?
Transitive Verb + Noun
